Research Partnership Award of Excellence in 2023

Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at École de technologie supérieure, Mr. Mohammad Jahazi received this award of excellence for the development of a sustainable research partnership with Finkl Steel-Sorel, an industry specializing in the manufacture of steel forgings and ingots. The work carried out by this industrial chair has led to significant productivity gains through shorter processing times, substantial cost savings, a significant reduction in greenhouse gases and improved quality of finished products. These advances have enabled the company to avoid having to build new infrastructures to achieve the same results. The award also recognizes the Professor's unifying leadership and partnership model, both in terms of its depth and breadth, as well as its tangible impact on the economy, the environment and society.
